Founder’s Story
Andrea Oliveira, Founder, Senior PR & Communications Consultant
Andrea (pronounced on-dray-uh) brings 15 years of experience leading and executing strategic communications programs in public relations, content marketing and brand positioning. In 2015, she founded Oliveira House PR (OHPR) on the philosophy that communications programs aren’t a one-size-fits-all. With this in mind, OHPR was intentionally built on the contractor model to offer clients the flexibility needed to easily scale up and down as priorities change, and the reliability of having experienced communications professionals who can serve as an extension to their internal marketing team.
Although most of her work has been within B2B tech, she has also had the good fortune to work with some of the most exciting and recognizable names in consumer tech, travel & hospitality, education, space/aerospace, government, lifestyle, commercial real estate, and more. Always working on the client services side, she knows that every account and every organization’s challenge is different. With a curiosity to uncover key pain points - the “why,” - she makes sure every tactic is always focused on gaining maximum brand exposure that will drive the greatest visibility and demand among her clients' core stakeholders. Over the years, Andrea has placed her clients in top media outlets like Insider (formerly Business Insider), The Wall Street Journal, and Wired, secured speaking slots at SXSW and a number of industry conferences, and landed several high-profile top lists and award wins.
Before OHPR, Andrea worked with global PR and communications agencies, Phillips & Company and Lois Paul & Partners (now a Fleishman-Hillard brand). Notable past client work ranges from working on the crisis communications plan for one of the first SpaceX Falcon 9 launches to overseeing the coordination of a high-profile diplomatic reception during the United Nations General Assembly to successfully seeing through mergers and acquisitions.
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication from Texas State University, where she majored in public relations and minored in business administration. She is an Austin, Texas native who also spends a lot of time in Bend, Oregon with her family. During her downtime, Andrea is usually off hiking around the Cascade Mountains or Texas Hill Country, chasing her kids around, or enjoying her favorite Mexican restaurants.
